Title: GENE EXPRESSION IN AMBER (Part 3 of 4)
Author: Kalima.
Rating: R-ish for language.
Content Notes: If you’re pregnant you may find the subject matter distressing. Just saying.
Summary: A woman wants Sherlock Holmes to find her missing employers and then goes missing herself. Sherlock may be able to solve the puzzle, but he might never be able to make it right.
Authors notes: I'm attempting to do a story after the fashion of The Copper Beeches in which Sherlock Holmes helps the hapless young lady in dire danger, except with a modern twist in keeping with the modern updated BBC series. Please forgive the American spelling and punctuation. Thanks you.

That's not what I mean. I mean normally I never worry that my family members will see anything that I do that's fannish because they haven't known about my livejournal account. I liked having someplace I could write and rant and hash it out with myself without my mother reading it. Or post fanfic or stuff about Doctor Who. I don't like the world mixing. It's uncomfortable.
I just had to get that off my chest. People should get out and fuck more, clearly.

This is all about fic mind you. I dipped my toe in the pool again and then ran screaming from the Rec Center. (There was stuff in that pool, so much...stuff.) I've been quickly reminded why I stopped writing it or reading it for these past few years.

I've been meaning to upload my old fic onto the Transformative Works "Archive of Our Own" site for a while now and I'm slowly doing that so I can remove all fic it from my hard drive permanently. It will have a place to live.

I mean, I don't know that I want my family to have to go through it after I'm dead, as I doubt they will know fanfic from fiction, what to keep or what not to keep.

I'm very proud of some of this fic There are stellar examples of my talent and skill among them and I kind of like the idea that they will be around for a while, long after their source materials, lives of their own. Fanfic should stand as testimonial to the great social experiment in which we all find ourselves. Someday in the distant future this wealth of material, this vast repository will be available for study and I want the future to draw all the wrong conclusions about it. Like how men could get pregnant or turn into ponies.
INVISIBLE GIRL
By Kalima
Summary: Molly Hooper makes herself useful. Unfortunately, this involves committing an indictable offence.
Pairing: N/A but it does have Sherlock in it!
Oops. spoilers ahoy: If you haven't seen The Reichenbach Fall this isn't for you.
Rating: There is no sex, just story. Sorry kids.

I know lots of my friends from LJ have accounts here but I am not linked to them. Maybe I will use this journal to hide myself from others:-)

vicodin

May. 4th, 2009 02:55 pm
I took one. On account of I went for a massage and ended up with severe crippling lower back pain. (My shoulders feel great though.) I don't really know why. Except maybe because I'm fat and my pelvic girdle is weak and the position on the table exacerbated it. Or something. Anyway, I made it home, got out the ice pack, took four ibuprofen, found an old prescription for vicodin in the process and took one. It's helping a little, spasms are duller and less frequent. But unless I'm in a lot of pain vicodin makes me nauseous.

this boring message brought to you by me testing out the new journal. I am without icons. Hey I wonder if I can import my icons from LJ? I go see now.
thanks to kellyhk I am now a member of dreamwidth. I am too tired this evening to go looking for others so I'll return tomorrow to make it all shiny.
